Mod is a CSS framework made for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) apps. It's designed to be an all-in-one solution, providing the components for building the interface of your SaaS app as well as its public-facing marketing website (landing page(s)).
The framework has two versions: a free version that contains a collection of basic components required to start designing your app and a paid version (Mod Plus) that includes additional app components and marketing components.
Who should use Mod?
While the target market is developers building a SaaS app, Mod can be used to build any type of website or app. A few examples:
- Personal website
- Company website
- Customer portal
- Internal dashboard
The only real limit to what projects Mod can be used for is your imagination!
How can Mod help me?
Mod was designed to help you ship a beautiful UI for your SaaS app and/or website quickly. When building a SaaS, your market is often unproven, so getting your idea to market ASAP is essential. Mod can dramatically reduce the cost and time needed to design and implement a UI (often the most expensive, complex, and time-consuming part of building a SaaS) without compromising on design or quality for your users.
How does Mod work?
Mod is "old school" in that it implements components as plain HTML and CSS, and where necessary, JavaScript. You can just load Mod's stylesheets and JavaScript files into your page and start building your UI. No extra compilers or build tools necessary. It Just Works™.
How do I get started?
The first step is to download a copy of Mod and then integrate it into your project. If you're not sure if Mod is a good fit yet, it's recommended that you read the Quick Start guide to learn how you can test-drive the framework.
